Audio and Video Settings
Vosmos offers flexibility in audio and video settings for streaming to ensure a seamless experience for your event attendees. Here are some key aspects to consider when configuring audio and video settings for streaming on the Vosmos platform:
- Video CODEC - H.264 (Main Profile)
- Audio CODEC - AAC
1. Video quality: Choose the appropriate video quality for your event based on your audience's internet connectivity. Higher quality video requires more bandwidth, so consider your attendees internet connections when making this decision.
2. Audio quality: Similar to video quality, select the appropriate audio quality for your event. Clear and crisp audio is essential for a successful virtual event, so ensure that your speakers have good quality microphones and headsets.
3. Video aspect ratio: The aspect ratio of your video should be set according to the content you're streaming. The most common aspect ratios are 16:9 (widescreen) and 4:3 (standard). Choose the one that best suits your content and event format.
4. Video screen size: The video screen size in session rooms (auditorium and track rooms) can be adjusted according to your preference. The ideal size is between 38% to 44%.
5. Using Constant Bit Rate (CBR) instead of Variable Bit Rate (VBR) for streaming on the Vosmos platform can provide a more consistent viewing experience for your attendees. CBR maintains a constant bitrate throughout the entire video, ensuring a stable connection and reducing buffering issues.
6. Using progressive signals for streaming on the Vosmos platform can provide a smoother viewing experience for your attendees. Progressive signals display video frames sequentially, reducing the need for interlacing and providing a more fluid playback experience.
